Bartercard adds to $1.5 million Mantra renovation

A recent $1.5 million upgrade to the Mantra Pavilion has stripped the property back to the flawless state it started with thirty years ago, but with a fresh new look to bring it up to benchmark with world-class venues. “Like any property our greatest challenge is consistently providing the best service 365 days a year, which comes down to the right staffing, approach to service and always using the best quality products to tie the experience together.”

When Jye Segboer bought the business with his partner Adam almost two years ago, he also bought a legacy of quality. A $1.5 million upgrade has been carried out across the property’s guest rooms, restaurant, bar and common spaces, encompassing new fit outs, painting, furnishings and upholstery.

Bartercard has improved our cash flow by $200,000 in the past 18 months. Consequently we’ve spent $180,000 of the property renovations on trade, without spending any cash. Bartercard has also covered the cost of our radio advertising to capture a greater slice of the conferencing market.”
