Fillaudeau’s: Steady cooked success with Bartercard

The best Mediterranean is simple and flavorsome and Fillaudeau’s does it well. French-born chef Manu Fillaudeau has built a reputation on quality and taste, an authentic approach to food and a partnership with the wine estate where his restaurant is located.

“We went wine tasting at the Pinelli Estate near Perth and the family who owned it was looking to lease its newly built restaurant. So I cooked for them and that’s where it all started.”

The partnership between restaurant and cellar door has been a winning combination, with the venue filling up most days and attracting a local and interstate clientele.

When he first established Fillaudeau’s, Manu was looking for a way to minimise his cash costs and conserve cash flow on his start-up.

Manu joined Bartercard and used its interest-free line of credit to get his restaurant up and running. “Bartercard let us offset the cash cost of purchasing tables, chairs, curtains and furniture for the front of the restaurant to ovens, fridges, kitchen equipment, the point of sale, computers, printers and ink.” he said. Manu continues to conserve cash in his business every time he spends trade dollars, and uses Bartercard to attract new customers.

He has built a reputation on referrals, winning five industry awards in three years.

“I initially joined Bartercard to kick-start my business with the interest-free line of credit; attracting new customers has been the icing on the cake.

“Bartercard has helped me grow my restaurant and share my culinary approach of simple and flavorsome cuisine.”
